At the Groovie Records
Edgar was our first customer, a long time friend of Waxconn's founder, and one of the reasons why Waxconn actually exists.
Groovie Records were established in 2005 as a label, reissuing lost pearls of garage/fuzz/psych rock as well as releasing new albums from local and international acts. It's located in Lisbon, Portugal, where they have a brick and mortar. They also sell online, from their Shopify store and Discogs.
The main challenge for Edgar was probably the same most online multichannel eCommerce music sellers and brick and mortar store owners face - managing sales and available inventory manually across all the selling points.
The workflow was time consuming, prone to errors and could easily create very frustrating situations for both seller and customer, if for example a customer buys a record that was already sold on the other selling point.
Waxconn allows Groovie Records to create products for all their selling points from one location, to create and keep inventory in sync between platforms, manage available stock and handle orders.
When a customer buys a record on Discogs it is automatically removed from Shopify. The same applies to orders coming from Shopify or from the brick and mortar store.
Waxconn allows them to search directly from Discogs Database and create products on all selling points. Allows working with inventory quantities on Discogs and auto relistings, to create bulk repricings, and other tools. The list of features and automation is growing every month, together with our customers needs and feedback.
In conclusion - Instead of manually managing their inventory and orders across three selling points, Groovie Records can now create and manage their inventory and sales from one central location. Productivity improves, their workflow is optimized, sales and inventories are easy to manage. Everybody is happy.
